The LA Law Library has identified unclaimed funds in the amount of $39,856.70 held in a trust account with the County of Los Angeles consisting of various deposits securing borrower accounts where no activity or request for refund has taken place for at least three years. In accordance with Section 50050 of the Government code, it is proposed that the unclaimed funds will become the property of the Los Angeles County Law Library 45 days after publication of its 5/20/2024 notice in the L.A. Daily Journal. An initial notice was mailed to each account holder on 5/17/2024.

If you are listed as an account holder, the following options are available to you regarding the deposit amount identified in the list.
- Request your account be reinstated. An additional deposit may be required to bring your deposit up to current level.
- Donate your deposit to the Library to help support its mission and provide services to those in need of legal assistance.
- Request a return of your deposit. Any outstanding fees will be deducted from the return.
To initiate a claim please complete the CLAIM FORM and return it to the Library no later than 7/3/2024. Claim forms received after this date will be declined. You may mail, fax, or e-mail the Claim Form to:
