Join us Friday afternoon for a Housing Rights Resource Fair! Los Angeles is in a housing crisis, with many individuals and families across the county experiencing housing instability. Connect with organizing, advocacy, and educational organizations throughout Los Angeles and learn about your right to fair and safe housing. Whether you are facing an eviction, being pressured to move, have habitability issues or are dealing with harassment, come meet a variety of organizations that fight for housing rights in Los Angeles.
Participating Organizations:
Coalition for Economic Survival (CES) works to empower, educate and organize tenants living in private and government subsidized housing to fight to ensure tenants’ rights and preserve quality and safe affordable housing.
Eviction Defense Network (EDN) is a community based nonprofit dedicated to closing the access to justice gap for individuals and families facing eviction in LA County.
Housing Rights Center (HRC) is the nation’s largest non-profit civil rights organization dedicated to securing and promoting Fair Housing. HRC offers free housing counseling, discrimination investigation, outreach and education.
Inquilinos Unidos empowers low-income Los Angeles tenants through community organizing, education and advocacy.
Los Angeles Community Action Network help people dealing with poverty create & discover opportunities, while serving as a vehicle to ensure we have voice, power & opinion in the decisions that are directly affecting us.
Los Angeles Tenants Union (LATU) is a diverse, tenant-led movement fighting for the human right to housing for all. LATU organizes tenant associations, teaches tenants’ rights, and engages in direct actions in support of tenants.
People Assisting The Homeless (PATH) provides supports individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness with transitional housing, homelessness prevention, support services, and assistance getting into permanent housing.
People Organized for Westside Renewal (POWER) is a membership-based community organizing group. POWER starts locally, working on issues that matter to people in our communities, such as affordable housing, community safety, and quality education.
Strategic Actions for a Just Economy (SAJE) builds community power and leadership for economic justice.
