LIVE ZOOM: Volunteer Training: Eviction Defense and How to Help as a Volunteer

Los Angeles is facing a homelessness crisis and pro bono attorneys are needed to help prevent unjust evictions of low-income tenants. This training will provide an overview of the eviction process and outline current housing laws that protect tenants against eviction. After completing this training, attorney volunteers can join the We Are LA Pro Bono Project and partner with legal services organizations to provide free legal assistance to tenants facing eviction through clinics and taking on full scope cases. Pro Bono volunteer projects will provide volunteers the opportunity to practice Landlord-tenant law and learn litigation skills while helping tenants navigate the eviction process.
