IN-PERSON: How to Build a Resume That Gets Employers’ Attention

Are you using the old ways of preparing and presenting resumes that were around for decades?  Is your resume outdated?  Are you unsure what should be included or how it should be formatted?  In this class you will learn how to start your resume off so that it grabs recruiters’ and employers’ attention, how to present your information in a way that is more defined, and present yourself in a way that shows you know how to generate results. This will be a step by step class to help improve your resume and present yourself as a competent and competitive candidate.

Class Covers:

1.       Understanding the information that makes you a more qualified candidate and what employers are looking for

2.       Using tools, such as templates, and online resources to build a better resume

3.       Drawing on your non-employment background and extra-curricular experience to build a compelling resume

4.       Understanding appropriate formatting, wording, length etc
